The Group Room

Live Sundays · 1-3pm PT · 4-6pm ET

Memorial Day Rebroadcast
Young Adults with Cancer

This Sunday in The Group Room we are re-airing our show from the 7th Annual National Young Adult Cancer Awareness WeekŪ, an effort spearheaded by Vital Options as the first organization originally founded for young adults with cancer, in association with the LIVESTRONG™ Young Adult Alliance. Did you know that nearly 70,000 young adults in their 20s and 30s are diagnosed with cancer each year and that many of the strides made in cancer treatment have bypassed young adults? Young adults with cancer have had less survival improvement than either younger or older patients, and in addition to issues such as fertility, body image, cognitive function, long-term effects, education, insurance, and employment, young adults have different biological and clinical aspects to their diseases. "Consider Cancer" was this year's call to action and you'll hear that call from some of the most dynamic and outspoken young adult survivors and leaders that are shaping today's young adult cancer movement. Tune in this Sunday and visit www.youngadultswithcancer.org and www.thegrouproom.tv

Join host Selma R. Schimmel, CEO & Founder of Vital Options International, and her special guest co-host, Kairol Rosenthal, along with special guests:
