
To coincide with the launch of Vital Options International Health Network and efforts on behalf of the 8th Annual National Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week®, Vital Options presents Surviving Idol: Young Adults With Cancer Expressing Themselves.
Vital Options in an international cancer communications organization. It was originally founded in 1983 as the first organization for young adults with cancer.
National Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week takes place the first week in April and is a collaborative effort with the young adult cancer advocacy movement.
Vital Options is seeking to inspire and nurture the creative process that is healing, expressive, and can deliver a message on behalf of young adult cancer awareness, and will be accepting submissions from young adult survivors worldwide.
Video submissions will be in vocal, instrumental, and dance categories. Young adults between the ages of 17-40 facing cancer at any stage of survivorship are invited to submit their videos here. Submissions will be featured on The Group Room® cancer talk show, which is returning in an all new format as an HD quality Internet TV show and at www.survivingidol.com.
Surviving Idol is being produced in association with Emmy Award Winning producer Scott Sternberg and Scott Sternberg Productions. Future plans include a concert featuring the winners of Surviving Idol.
• Finalists will be selected by a special panel of celebrities affected by cancer.
